Supporting Santa Barbara Beautiful through a membership or donation means that you, too, are working through your dollars to keep Santa Barbara beautiful by planting trees, funding art in public places, and providing educational programs for all ages.

You will directly support our grants to community organizations and all of our efforts.

Santa Barbara Beautiful is a non-profit 501 (c)3 corporation. Donations are tax-deductible. As a Santa Barbara Beautiful member you will also be eligible for discounts at various local stores and nurseries.

History says it takes more than a nearly perfect climate and a prime location where the mountains meet the sea – to make a livable, beautiful urban environment. Padre Junipero Serra, pioneer California missionary, described the future site of Santa Barbara as a "dismal and treeless" place when he first saw it in April, 1782. It has taken the work of generations of dedicated people and the efforts of organizations such as Santa Barbara Beautiful to create a city known throughout the world for its beauty.
