2000
Arbor Day Poster Contest
Santa Barbara Beautiful, in cooperation with the City Parks & Recreation
Department, sponsors the National Arbor Day Foundation Poster Contest.
Since 2000 , local elementary schools have participated in this
contest. These five schools
included Adams; Cleveland; Harding: Monroe; and Monte Vista. The National Poster Contest
was open to 5th grade students across the United States. One winner was
selected from each participating school. The five winners from Santa Barbara competed on
the state level in Sacramento. One winner from each of the 50 states was chosen to compete
on the national level this April in Nebraska. One poster represents
each year's theme...
“Trees are
Terrific…
in all
Shapes
and
Sizes!”
